I have used this very Catholic app for a few years, as well as taken my older kids through their first reconciliations with it. It is customized based on age, that is why I was confident on giving it to my kids as a helpful aid to help them through their first confession (both at the age of 8).
This Catholic app continues to get great reviews and has proved itself over and over again for me. By the way, each profile can be password protected, so you can share your device without worrying that your list will be seen by others.
It has helped my to be more thorough, but more than that, it helped me to be prepared for the sacrament, instead of just trying to remember sins of the past. It goes through each of the commandments at a depth appropriate for the user. I really have gotten good use from this app and recommend it completely, it is worth it. The developer has put in updates and continued to keep the app up to date.

The text of this Catholic app was developed in collaboration with Rev. Thomas G. Weinandy, OFM, Executive Director of the Secretariat for Doctrine and Pastoral Practices of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, and Rev. Daniel Scheidt, pastor of Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Mishawaka, IN. The app received an imprimatur from Bishop Kevin C. Rhodes of the Diocese of Fort Wayne – South Bend. It is the first known imprimatur to be given for an iPhone/iPad app.
